If you live in North Yorkshire you might by aware that the county council now charges residents for disposal of rubble and plasterboard at its recycling centres.
Payment is by card only. Details of the charges are available on the North Yorkshire County Council website but as a quick guide the fees quoted on the site range from £2.52 for a 25kg bag of rubble or equivalent to £126 for up to 50 25kg bags or equivalent.
Meanwhile, people using recycling centres in Leeds now need to prove residency in the city, so there’s no chance if you live in Harrogate of driving over and legally dumping your rubble for free at the Meanwood site or elsewhere in Leeds. Vans and trailers are also banned from all Leeds recycling centres.
So all in all, it’s hard not to conclude you’d be better off calling The Waste Team when your facing rubble trouble – bearing in mind that we do all the heavy lifting for you too.
