Community
The Waste Team are not only dedicated to making Leeds, and the surrounding areas cleaner, but we’re dedicated to make our city a better place.
Leeds Mind
Leeds Mind support the people of Leeds to discover their own resources to ‘recover’ from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently with their mental health condition.
How do we help Leeds Mind?
We have joined forces with the incredible team at Leeds Mind and updated our signs around Leeds to help everyone #CarryTheBurden
"The Waste Team has banded together to champion our work of supporting anyone experience a mental health difficulty, which is especially appreciated during this tough time for everyone. It’s testament to the business that they’re still finding the time to support their local community in the midst of the pandemic!
It’s great that the friendly team is willing to have such honest and frank conversations about mental health – in such a male-dominated industry, this really will help people fight the stigma around talking about our mental health, and remind everyone that it’s “OK not to be OK”.
By helping us through their services, taking part in our fundraising campaigns and by donating their advertising space on roundabout signage across the city (thanks also to Leeds City Council!), they are helping us work towards better mental health for all in Leeds."

Homeless Street Angels
Homeless Street Angels are a Headingly and Leeds charity that provide hot and cold food, clean clothes, toiletries and an emergency 24hr call out service to the homeless. They're trained and non-judgemental volunteers strive to promote the needs of the homeless, work with communities to alleviate the issue and empower individuals to rise out of their situation.
How do we help Homeless Street Angels?
When Homeless Street Angel’s incredible volunteers secure a home or temporary accommodation for their clients, we give them a helping hand. Using our lifting expertise and industrial vehicles, we volunteer to deliver furniture to their properties and help them set up their new home.
Together we can make a difference to the huge homelessness issue in the North.
How Do The Waste Team Help Leeds?
Aside from our incredible moral support for Leeds United, The Waste Team clean up the streets around Elland Road regularly. We recycle 90% of the waste we collect, and we are 100% committed to limiting the environmental impact of our activities.
We continue our partnership with Leeds Parks and Countryside Service
